Yamada Hanako

Yamada Hanako is a famous TV comedian and celebrity, often appearing in television talkshows, comedies and media. She wanted to become a professional wrestler, but she got injured, and couldn't continue her career. Her most famous appearances has been in comedy by Yoshimoto Shinkigeki group. The television version has been produced by Yoshimoto Kogyo, the Osaka based Japanese entertainment company. She has been appearing in many TV commercial films and dramas and TV programs.

I saw Yamada Hanako first time in 24h charity TV show. She was running marathon in hot summer day. She just kept running, struggled hard without up. Her expression was something so honest, she was just herself naturally. I thought she is so talented, because she never has to act, she is just comfortably herself. I was moved by her way to convey her character so directly.

Her one of the most recent appearance was in Kiraware Matsuko no issho "Memories of Matsuko" (2006), a musical directed by Tetsuya Nakashima.

Hanako Yamada's typical commercial is a washer for toilets, in which she wears a raccoon costume and sings. She has also done some voice acting for anime.

She also appeared in Los Angeles on tour with Yoshimoto Kogyo and appeared with HG (Hard Gay) in show called Sapuraizu Darake no Uedingu (Wedding Full of Surprises). It was performed in famous Kodak Theater, home of the annual Academy Awards show.
