Kyoto POP Artist Speaks Through Light & Shadow

Takagi Masakatsu Bloomy GirlsTakagi Masakatsu, the Japanese pop artist shared his thinking and feeling about creating contemporary art through means of video and music in NHK's POP JAM DX program 28th of June. His visual work as well as music is truly amazing, both with technique and content. Screen turns into a moving painting of watercolor and mixed technique - sublime, relaxed and so fantastically fresh and stylish.

"When I first started making videos, I was always reacting to light. I was obsessed with light, and captured everything with light", the Kyoto artist said in the beginning of the interview.
