PASMO

PASMO (Pasumo) is a smart card ticketing system for public transport introduced in Tokyo. The card is credit card sized RFID card. PASMO is the replacement of Passnet magnetic card system. It can be used in JR lines and Tokyo Metro lines.

PASMO was first introduced in Japan from March 18, 2007.

The system is compatible with JR Suica, and can be also used in private bus companies. PASMO as well as Suica is stored-fare card that can be easily recharged.
