Yasujiro Ozu 1903-1963

He was born 1903. He got interested about American films really young. He's uncle got him to work to Shochiku -film company and that how he got in to movie business. His first movies were pretty much influenced by American films, like "That night's wife". But then he concentrated to handle middle-clase life by writing movies such as: "Umarete wa mita keredof" (I Was Born, Butf, 1932) His special way to shoot started to show in films such as "Ukigu monogatari" (A Story of Floating Weeds). He also produced two films after the war. "Tokyo monogatari" (Tokyo Story 1953) and "Akibiyori" (Late Autumn 1960). They were pretty popular in West.

Ozu was famous of his collaboration with actress Setsuko Hara. My favorite movie of him is Late Spring (Banshun).
