Sushi 4004 and Fantastic Cat
Sushi 4004 The Return of Spectacular Japanese Cubpop is peculiar and strange compilation. The music is really different from European techno. Those who have visited in Japanese RnB type of clubs might be familiar with the genre, those who haven't, this will be eye (or should I say, ear) opener! The opening track from Midnight Bowlers is really nothing special, but Fantastic Plastic Machine's "S'il Vous Plait" turns out to be one funny, and extraordinary track!
Yoshinori Sunahara's 2300 Hawaii is relaxing, and in the same way cool as his CD "Take Off and Landing" or "Love Beat". The music is exactly something you might want to listen on a plane to Hawaii, relaxing, cool and warm. Second interesting track is Yukari Fresh's Yukarin Disco. The track sounds ordinary techo beat from the beginning but when the vocalist enters the feeling changes - this could be typical music of young tokyoist design student, her house filled with stuffed animals and all.The most memorable track is however the strange recorder school-pop-trance-cute-pop Takako Minekawa's Fantastic Cat. it's so good humoured cute, and extra ordinary. This would be great in to play in party as a last song to remind everyone to go back home to sleep in their beds with their fantastic cats.
Cornelius' The Microdisneycal World Tour remix is another typical Cornelius Track. The Lesson 3003 by legendary Pizzicato Five is wonderful cool club-pop that can be actually danced.
