I really love making interviews of people. When I interview them, my heart is somehow refreshed by their spirit. In a sense, I feel like I get inter view to their spirit. I get the sense like I'm playing tennis, bouncing the ball back and forth. As my number one rule, I always want to make sure that the interviewee is satisfied about the result before anything gets published. Sometimes it happens that the interviewer withdraws the result back in the last moment. This happened recently with one interview I made with someone very interesting. I felt sad to see such wonderful interview never getting published. But still, the most important is the feeling of the interviewees, so I cannot imagine breaking this rule. Some writers unfortunately does not respect the wishes of the interviewee. But luckily there are few of those around.
I'm so glad to receive so much wonderful feedback about the interviews. Next month I will be gathering material for the interviews in Japan, and I will bring back some exciting stuff.

MATSUMOTO, Nagano Prefecture--A court Monday handed a 10-year prison sentence to a 21-year-old woman who set buildings on fire for pleasure and posted pictures of the blazes on her Web log for fame. , reported Asahi Shimbun.
According to the Nagano District Court's Matsumoto branch, she did it for fun. (more)

Tonight I watched movie, Hatsukoi (2000, Tetsuo Shinohara). The movie was simple, beautiful story about young girl whose mother is dying to cancer. And the movie had a scene in which the family reunited last time under a cherry tree. Inspired by this scene, I decided to write this month's Top Story about sakura.
Myself, my first encounter of sakura was rather special. I wrote a blog entry about it in here.
This month will have two Top Stories, another one which I haven't announced yet, an interview of someone in fact. The reason why this was delayed is that we here in Hanami Web always want to confirm with the interviewee that everything is in the interview as they see fit - a common practise in journalism, which is sadly overlooked by some writers.
Hanami Web Monthly is being edited at the moment, and will be released before 4th of April.
Plenty of new movie reviews are coming soon.
