Hanabi

In Japan during summer time, you might witness a crowds of girls and boys wearing yukata, a Japanese traditional dress, going Hanabiout with their hand fans.

They are going to watch hanabi, a Japanese fireworks show. These shows are big events. Yokohama Minato Mirai hanabi attracted more than 500 000 visitors summer of 2003. Another famous places for hanabi are Kurihama and Sumidagawa river in Tokyo.

Everyone are smiling, boys wearing jimbei or yukata. And a serious amounts of spiced ice, yakitori, beer and a camera film are consumed. Everyone have their smile on their face and you can almost cut the Japanese spirit off from the air and put it in your pocket. This is a Japanese fireworks show!

Hanabi are usually shot from the boat far on the sea. This is to make sure that nothing caughts a fire on summer time as well as to provide a good view. The reflection of hanabi is beautiful from the surface of the water.
