Ebisu

Ebisu is interesting place. It is less popular for foreigners than it's neighbor Shibuya and it has much more quiet atmosphere. There are some bars and izakaya and a large residential area.

Ebisu is of course famous of it's beer culture. It was originally founded in 1928 to be a community around the brewery industry. The famous beer Yebisu Beer is named after Ebisu which is one of the Japanese Seven Gods of Fortune. That's why it is in the logo of Yebisu malt beer.

Next to Ebisu is Shibuya in Yamanote Line.
