I just started listening to Koda Kumi. She's a pretty good singer.
I'm starting to discover more new artists. Hehe.

Lately I've been listening to Olivia and Anna Tsuchiya thanks to my obsession with NANA the anime and manga.
But then I also stubeld upon a singer called Tainaka Sachi, she has such a pretty voice it made me miss my singing lessons embarrassed

It's never late to learn singing, they say.

It isn't very expensive if you join a choir.  Then you can sing on your own at home using the same warm up exercises.

I'm not saying I can sing  Grin
I even stopped to go to the choir.

But I find singing therapeutic.  Sometimes I just moan and roar. Like Totoro.
It makes me hungry and happy, when all kinds of emotions unravel.
I'm sure eveyone can find that useful.
But I couldn't do that in front of other people.

Still, when we had this Oh, oh, noh, noh - exercise with the choir and others laughed at my overly sad expressions - I thought that maybe I could pursue a career as a weeping lady. You know, those women who some cultures use in funerals.
They start crying and the others will follow. Feelings spread.  Mourning happens.

I always use to sing Smiley I joined a choir when I was little, performed on a musical(in the choir) a few years ago now I sing for myself or along when I listen to a cd or the radio.
It would be fun to join a choir again but again my lack of time cry

Angela Aki released a new album while I was in Japan.
But listening to many records at a record store I ended up buying Bonnie Pink's Thinking out loud.

There was an interesting CD of a female duo there, 歌ぐすい was the name of the group, I guess...
One of the girls played gitar, the other shamisen.
That sounded cool, but I wanted something funnier.

A friend of mine is going crazy after her boyfriend bought her tickets to Angela Aki's christmas concert, and now Ainu-san shows interest. Usually that's a sign of a possible target for my next Bookoff excursion. See, I just bought "Fruits Basket" DVD boxed set and the latest Ghibli animation, and now I have 130 euros worth of points on my Tsutaya/Bookoff point card and I by god I have no idea what to do with all that!! I could get 220 manga albums, or 22 CD's, or 16 DVD's for free!
Grin Grin Grin

After hearing her songs in Yokohama's Chinatown I kind of got fancy on Alan. She only has two songs out (that I know of), and I already like them both. Can't wait for the album! I hope it comes out for christmas.  Smiley

The "main" single, 明日への讃歌 (Ashita he no sanka) is on Youtube.
The second, which I like even more, 桜モダン, can also be found on Youtube, but for that there is only the pathetic slideshow/music track, and I'm not linking to those, sorry.
